Unabridged Audiobook
Loved the book. John Lennon was always one of my favorites and certainly a genius of our time. Unfortunately, he was an asshole in many ways for which I was unaware until this read. Yoko, however, I knew was a talentless hack and the narrator, while having the most stake in judging her, was at times merciful in her narrative. Very unanticipate portrayal of John and his relationship (or lack thereof) with his clone, Julian.
I absolutely loved this book. Much of the info about John's life I knew already, but there was so much more I learned about John from this book and it provided me with an understanding of why he behaved the way he did. I also used to give Yoko Ono the benefit of the doubt because I figured if John loved her there must be something to her. I gave her non-judgment that she didn't deserve. Evil is the only word that comes to mind after hearing this story. What an incredibly strong woman Cynthia was. Her unconditional love for John never wavered, and it brings me peace to know they are reunited again. Julian is a testament to the beautiful spirit named Cynthia Lennon.
