I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this down to earth story of Cicely Tyson's life. She fully exposed some of the hardest times, and laid bare her belief that God directed her opportunities and decisions. She has amazing dedication to her portrayal of any part she played with a determination to make it authentic. She is an excellent and strong reader.

Awesome book. What a life Cicely had! The narrator sounded just like Cicely!

This was absolutely brilliant. Inspiring, thought provoking, sad, uplifting and fascinating. What a life she led. Despite her advanced years, I am sad that she left us so soon after this book coming out. I have honestly learned so much from this book and as a fellow actor Cicely's story gives me so much hope, guidance, wisdom and inspiration.

Pick this book up by chance and so glad I did, it was an amazing read, All my favorite people were part of This amazing lady's life. I wish God could guide me like he guided Cicely Tyson.
