This book did a great job of adding historical context to the story of Jesus.

After reading Killing Reagan and the Killing of the Rising Sun I was very curious as to how this "ancient" history , as opposed to 20th century history, would be handled. I learned more about the depraved society of Rome than anything else. The details about Jesus' life and death in this book were not new to me, thus making the book more academic than I had hoped. It's OK, it will not halt a bit my continued faith in what Jesus taught, lived and died for, my salvation. Enjoy.

I am 69 years old and grew up in a Christian family. For the past 40 years I have studied the Bible, attended many bible studies and sermons every Sunday. Killing Jesus has made a lot of "hard to understand " events and statements, understandable.

One of the best books on the life and times of Jesus I've ever read.

  • Ron Hollier

Was skeptical that this could be an historic account without religion cloudy g the message. Great account of his life, the tuimes, and political issues that led to his crucifixion. Wax left to the reader to take it from there. As a Christian. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey learning new things along the way!
