Unabridged Audiobook
First I have to say I've bought many titles through audiobooks and the sound quality of this book was terrible. The narrator fluctuated between sounding like she was reading from inside a tin can to reading under a pillow. It was a huge detractor from the book. The story itself was not one McDermid's best. I expect suspense fiction to include some far fetched twists but I felt like this one had too many so that when the killer was revealed it was a big eye-rolling moment instead of the climax of all the lead up. In spite of that, it's an enjoyable listen. Rich characters and witty writing as I've come to expect from this author.
