What if kindness had a little bit of magic?

Imani loves being kind, especially when people notice. At school, every kind act earns a yellow leaf on the classroom kindness tree, and Imani is determined to collect more than anyone else.

But after she stops to help a classmate with no plan, no audience, and no reward, something unexpected happens: a soft, glowing cape appears around her shoulders.

As Imani tries to understand what makes her mysterious cape shine, she begins to discover that real kindness is not about being seen, getting credit, or doing the most. Sometimes, it is simply noticing someone and choosing to move a little closer.

The Kindness Cape is a warm, imaginative Charm Words story about friendship, empathy, and the quiet power of doing something kind simply because someone needs it.

Perfect for families looking for meaningful stories that help children think about how kindness looks, feels, and grows in everyday moments.
