awesome story, loved every minute of it.

I downloaded this version of King Solomon's Mines but didn't even make it through the first chapter before giving up on this one to download the same title narrated by a different person. John Nicholson sighs and drones his way through the narrative as if he is bored and tired. It's a personal preference I'm sure, but I couldn't bear to listen to the entire book this way.

I loved the story but was disappointed that it was fiction. As a South African working in mining I would have like to follow on a journey where more details were based on fact rather than fiction

An old tale but well written and narrated

This book made me sick! Killing elephants and other wildlife in droves! I know it was another time, but I just couldn’t bear listening anymore.

Great job of detailing life in a very different time and places. Fast paced adventure. Good narrative.
