Two Feuding Towns. is a must-listen for fans of young adult romance. Narrators Lisa Bentley and Alex Kydd are a perfect match for the roles of Maeve and Weston, their performances enhancing the emotional depth and undeniable charm of this audiobook. Bentley's portrayal of Maeve Stevens is a masterclass in subtlety. She beautifully captures the conflict within Maeve—a girl torn between her loyalty to her family and a burgeoning attraction to the boy she's supposed to hate. Bentley's voice is both strong and vulnerable, making Maeve's journey feel incredibly real. This is the first book in the Rival Love series, a new adult college sports romance — and it’s a series of interconnected standalones. Maeve and Weston’s slow burn forbidden romance is beautifully written, sweet, and engaging. Maeve's father is the head football coach, while her twin brother is the quaterback. She is beautiful, smart, and strong. Weston is handsome, enigmatic, and supportive. They are perfect together. Their journey to love is filled with rivalry, angst, tension, banter, and push and pull. Amy Melissa Bentley and Alex Kydd did a great job bringing this story to life. Bentley is a new-to-me narrator, and she has a beautiful, easy-to-listen-to. Kydd captured Wes’s personality perfectly. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to more in the series.
A battle of hearts that sticks to the soul. Weston and Maeve dance across the senses with a tragic beauty that grabs emotions full throttle. Bentley and Kydd give voice to heartache with a maturity well beyond it's years.
