Summary
Winter in Mystery, Alaska, just got a whole lot hotter. Dragon shifters, lions, and tigers oh my!

An overwhelming need to get away from life-from grief-sent Naomi Parker on a trek through Alaska. Even though she was expecting to photograph some unique wildlife, she was NOT expecting a dragon. They don't exist, right? Wrong. And a dragon who turns into a human? Even more unlikely.

A hot dragon prince . . . yeah, she's totally hallucinating. And when he won't leave her side, and their chemistry is off the charts, suddenly, it's a whole-new-world of fantasy and excitement, until it threatens to cost her everything . . . including her life.

Col has one mission: to kill the dragons who murdered the royal house of Li'Vhram-his family. But he wasn't expecting to find his mate in the process. When a cute, curvy woman needs rescuing from the dragons he's hunting, his senses go on high alert. She's his mate. He's sure. And he'll do anything to make her his.

Contains mature themes.

This was a quick easy listen. I enjoyed for what it is. Shifter romance with little world building. I liked the different take on rift and how they came to be in Alaska. But would have liked more. One personal issue I had with the book was the use of snow machine instead of snowmobile. I guess I never knew how much I was in the snowmobile camp vs snow machine. It was used so often it started to drive me crazy. Overall I enjoyed the book.

Very nice and easy listen. There were a few scenes I felt became a bit repetitive and that the characters had abrupt changes of heart, but overall good story that I enjoyed. I also liked the narrator and how she portrayed emotions in the characters, adding to the story without overdoing it.

this was different. I liked it though. a spin on shifter romance with a climate change as an element of difficulty.

This was not the worst book I've ever read. TBH, I started reading this book to fill the silence in the car until I could find another. Now, with that being said... There is absolutely no character development. Insta-love... The characters are flat. The H landed on earth, didn't know anything... but could speak English and understand. It was explained in the book, but it didn't make sense. The characters weren't really funny...or interesting. Good idea, but poor execution. No cliffhanger. The first part of the book is basically all shifter porn. I wanted to knock myself out after I finished....

The characters need to be developed more. I found myself wanting to know more details about events and characters. With that being said I liked the story and it held my interest well enough.
