Love this book and series! Great characters and world building. Also the narrator really pulls you in.

This is a well written book. This is a bit to on the emotional side for my tastes in literature but that is just a preference for me. Slow burn, love at first sight love hate relationship with the bad boy with a good heart. I dont like the dark broody barely contained bad guy vibe for a love interest personally but most women seem to like it I guess. Don't get me wrong, like what ya like and never apologize for it, just saying I dont relate to the guy and as usual dont understand the woman. I would have enjoyed it more if I was the main target audience but the vip selections are slim pickings in my genres of choice. Narration ws good overall. I would have preferred a male for the male voices.

Interesting world building. Nice political intrigue, some seriously scary, bad guys, and nice chemistry between the main characters.

I was so ready to read the next book right after this one.

It was fine. Didn’t love the male character voice and the story was a bit boring. Towards the end things started to actually happen and it got a little better.

In the first chapter or so I was dubious about whether I was going to enjoy this read and tossed it aside. After a bit, I decided to give it another try and actually got into it fairly quickly. I really enjoyed the depth of the characters. I was a little disturbed by the ending and had to listen to the epilogue twice to let it sink in. I would read more of Abigail Owen's books

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I didn't know what to expect going on and was a little unsure at first but I got sucked in pretty quick and really enjoyed the magic system and story line. The MMC takes the title of "shadow daddy" to a whole new level. I admit I was a bit confused with who he was/didn't quite understand how it made sense but I eventually got there.Looking forward to continuing on with this series.

I loved it. The setting and the plot are very interesting and has some unique elements. the narrator did a great job.

I really liked the story. I believe that the travel to the wilderness took too long. But once the characters got there, the story was really very good. I will listen to the rest of the series.
