Unabridged Audiobook
I love the Eagles. I was really looking forward to this book. The problem is that it took nearly 6 hours of audiobook to get into depth about the eagles. The author spends a lot of time on background. He goes off on several tangents about other artists and David Geffen. While most of it may be relevant to the story he is trying to tell I feel there is so much info about the Eagles and their songs that was missed because of all the other information he added to this book. The other problem is that this is jot a sanctioned book by the band so we miss a lot of the details that I would like to hear. Last issue I had is with the narrator. He would be a great narrator for a book about nature or even a fictional book. However for a rock band I would expect someone with a bit more grit or someone who you might expect wouod express a cuss word. I listened to this book with a good friend and she felt the same way. I would not recommend this book to learn about the Eagles.
