I love Mark Twain (Huckleberry Fin, and Tom Sawyer) however this book was a little bit dull. though there are some good passages and interesting facts. The Narrator does a sterling job.

Fascinating eyewitness details of life in America in the 1800s. Mark Twain lived it all and he writes about it with style and humor. The narrator was perfect for this book. The listener could easily believe he was listening to Mark Twain himself.

Good book - got a real feel for the river’s history and folklore - the narrator was first class - njoyed it immensely.

true some chapters are over burdened with facts, but the sheer genius of the author coupled with a truly amazing narrator make this a giant of litriture..
