I loved the witty banter between the two characters. That is my weakness in any book I want to read multiple times.

I wish I could rate this book higher. The writing paired with the perfect narrators was an experience everyone needs

I listened to the audiobook version of this book and OMG I thought I was going to self combust! So glad I was home alone most of the day because I honestly kept squealing through this whole book. Josh is the most delicious masked stalker, nerd hacker I've ever read, and Aly is such a bad@$$ FMC. Being a trauma nurse myself I can say that Navessa Allen hit the nail on the head with Aly, bullseye. The spice was pure fire and I had to stop to fan myself and breathe more than once. The narration by Elena Wolfe and Jacob Morgan was nothing short of perfection. They really brought these characters to life, gave them such amazing personalities, and made the whole book that much better. I don't think I was even 20% into the book when I started texting my book girlfriends to recommend! Could not get enough!

Sooo hott and soo funny!!

For starters the narration of this book is absolutely wonderful. All in all I enjoyed this book due to its dark yet comedic feel. It's almost as if Deadpool wrote a love story. I will absolutely be reading/ listening again. 10/10.

I loved this book, it had romance, and comedy. I did find it vanilla for me though since i did read both haunting Adeline books so this book was a breeze for me but I 100% recommend.

Oh. My. God. I’ve never read or cared for spicy/romance books until I read this one. It was adventurous and spontaneous at times. I still LOVE the sarcasm in this book. Although it’s not realistic, if this genuinely happened, I think I’d act the same way. 10 out of 10, recommend to everyone!

the duet narration of the audiobook was great, the dark romcom styling of the book itself was fun! I was able to overlook some obvious plot holes, plus I got interested in Junior’s book despite not loving the whole mafia thing.

What starts as flirting and fantasy turns into something way more intense when Josh decides to make her dreams a reality. Their relationship is honestly unhinged in the best way possible — dark, obsessive, protective, but also surprisingly sweet at times. This book had me laughing one second and stressed the next. I loved how fast paced it felt, and I was completely invested in Aly and Josh the whole time. Josh especially was such an entertaining character because he somehow managed to be creepy, hilarious, and obsessed all at once. The romance is definitely dark and not for everyone, so I’d really recommend checking trigger warnings before reading. There are themes involving stalking, violence, trauma, and explicit sexual content. My only small complaint is that the second half felt a little all over the place compared to the beginning, but overall I still had so much fun reading it. The humor, tension, and chemistry made it hard to put down. Some readers loved the shift in the story while others felt it changed direction a bit midway through. Overall, if you like dark romances with obsessive characters, masked men, suspense, and lots of spice, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try.

Whewwww Chileeeeeeeeeee, my first book of 2026. And it's not what I was expecting, however good read. I understand people have different kinks, no judgements here. I just don't know how to feel about being turned on by someone in a mask or not knowing who a person is or how they look. As I get older and the more read, the more things that suprise me. Aly a nurse that works in the hospital, has seen it all at work, even treating Rapists yet has a deep kink for masked men and being hunted, chileeeee. Well unbeknownst to her, there was man watching her (stalking) her with the same desires. Josh hacks the computers at the hospital and throughout her house. Aly watches Josh online religiously and one day she leaves a comment on his page begging him to break in wearing a mask. Not thinking he'd actually do it, shocked when the masked man showed up and are her dreams a reality. They both feel in love with one another, not knowing each other's background. If you like smut and have not read this book you will be surpised. A lot of stories in the genre start to seem the same but not this one. The narration is excellent

This book had me cackling, embarrassed, in tears, and baffled! The story line was good but it also gave you alittle spice! This is a great first book into dark romance! Everybody needs a Josh! I also loved that they had a women reading as the female main character and a male reading as the male main character!!

This book is funny, witty, and oh so spicy. I was today years old when I learned what a thirst trap was—and yes, I shamelessly Googled it like the curious little heathen I am. Let me tell you, between the dirty play, the edging, and the… ahem silverware kink (wink, wink), my Kindle is now blushing and hiding under a blanket. If you’re looking for something that’s equal parts laugh-out-loud and fan-yourself-off hot, this is a must-read. Just make sure you’re hydrated before diving in—you’ll need it.

I really loved it. I feel like I didnt really care for the female reader. She was a little robotic to me but the male reader was amazing. So much personality it was like I was watching a movie. But over all 10/10

Narration was great. I liked their voices and tone, and that they had the male and female voices readier their own lines unlike other books I’ve listened to. The storyline felt cheesy to me and I felt that it lingered too much on small details, and not enough of character development to make me feel anything for the characters.

I love this book I have the paper copy but I kept falling asleep while reading it but it being read for me I don't fall asleep and it's relaxing listening to their voices

Completely absurd storyline and characters. I get that someone would like to read something like this for the graphic sex scenes but even those got old. The characters and storyline were so silly and so bad that it was really hard to take this book seriously. The narrators were ok but the females voice was annoying or maybe it was just the writing, idk.

6 star read ⭐️ This is my favorite romance book to date. Josh’s character is chefs kiss perfection. I can’t get over his conversations with Fred. No notes. The book is an easy read that cured my book slump and it had me laughing and kicking my feet. I’m a Navessa fan for life. And who knew I’d enjoy riding the knife.

I do not regret buying this audiobook, I approached it with only knowing something about a knife handle and a woman. Honestly it delivered just what I was looking for atm, witty banter, yummy spice, an interesting story line that honestly you can’t help but agree with sometimes and acceptable ending .

I loved it it's my first time to an audiobook, and I was eager to listen to Jacob, his voice is charming and sexy as ever, just wow but I don't know if it was the character or Jacob sometimes seem to be bored to narrate and as for Elena, her voice was so angelic and soft, I loved her

I mean... I was a book and I read it. That's all I have. I read this because I really liked the Butcher & Blackbird trilogy, and people said that this book was close to that, but it just... wasn't. I went in with different expectations from what it was, and to be honest, for what it was, it was good, but just not what I wanted. I expected to love this but, oh well.

I loved this book! I listened to this as an audiobook. It is a stalker dark romance with a masked man kink. Ally, a trauma nurse who doesn’t have much luck in the romance department and Josh who has a dark secret of his own doesn’t like be out in the crowd, more of a recluse and at night likes to make thirst traps on social media. I loved the characters and the writing was very entertaining, kept me wanting to get back to it. I loved the banter, the humor sprinkled in and the sexual tension throughout. I enjoyed the love story that evolves between the two characters. The narrators Ellen Wolfe and Jacob Morgan were fantastic! I love that it was duet narration, which is my favorite. And let me tell you, I believe Jacob Morgan could read anything and it would have you melting. Whew

The male narrator in this book is amazing. The woman is okay but lacks voice expression most times. The book itself is pretty good. However, that’s only for the first half. After the whole thing with Brad, the story kinda fell off for me. The spice scenes are great tho. Now, the Epilogue….very anticlimactic. Ally spent most of the epilogue explaining the woods and how she felt running through them. It seemed like she was explaining FOREVER!!!

I've never read/listen to dark romance before but I've seen this on book tok and thought I'd check it out. narration was great and I thought the story was really good. had me smiling and kicking my feet but also holding my breath in anticipation. 10/10

The book started off very good and remained that way til halfway through. Then the story line just dragged. I lost interest and wish the author could have done better. I finished listening because I had to finish, but contemplated several times giving up. It’s good, but not great.

The narrators really did a great job in bringing the story’s tone and feel to life. The characters have some very good chemistry and were made for each other. There were some small things that seemed like a weird choice to add, but all in all a great story if you are into some darker elements in your romances

Loved this book. Entertaining for sure, wishing more books were like this one. For its length it flowed and went by entirely way faster then I wanted. New fetish with following masked models.
