Great lil book:)
Tried to start listening to it several times but having one of the main characters be outright physically abusive right from the get go ...(who is supposed to be the heartthrob she eventually ends up with?) it was a bit strange to have that straight physical abuse and complete lack of boundaries just normalized again and again. As though being pushed around and publicly humilaited is something that women just normally have to and should tolerate. Especially when there is talk of the original book owners family being suffergates. Just a bit bizarre and actually really not okay. Narrator is good and the story concept is good, but wow.
