Unabridged Audiobook
every character is depraved in some way. I found it hard to relate to or feel interested in any of them. the story was compelling, I'll give it that. I didn't bother finishing it though.
Interesting, rather unusual characters.
I was not to sure about this boy at first. I am glad I stuck with it. I really enjoyed the characters.
Starts well, but becomes a bit fanciful as the plot develops. Sped up the narration to 1.2 times to get it finished.
To be honest, this is not a captivating story. The body of it doesn’t really mirror the blurb. I’m at chapter 8 and whatever the tale is, it hasn’t started yet! It’s part of the Audiobook Club, so I feel no compunction to finish it. I didn’t really notice the narrator, so I’m guessing that she was good. (I know that that sounds like backhanded praise, but I would definitely have picked up if she was deficient in any way).
While this book was not a happy one, I thought the story was original and the reader did an excellent job with the narration. I thought the ending was quite interesting too and look forward to more books in the series.
Found this boring and the narrator droned on
Quite an enjoyable read , kept my interest from start to finish, for those who enjoy a good thriller well worth a go, looking forward to book 2.
A very good book really enjoyed it with great characters and story also well narrated
Unusual heroine - I imagined her as a young Hettie (Linda Hunt) from “NCIS Los Angeles” minus weapons. Riveting story with a history that was revealed slowly. Able narrator who two year old voice is imprinted on my memory saying “ freezing my tits off!”
I really enjoyed this character with her many righteous warts. The story was always a surprise which I don't say often.
