I am shocked at how many good reviews this book has. I could not wait for it to be over. Killer is revealed early on the book and then everything that follows was plain boring. Whoever says there’s twists and turns, please reach out to me and explain them.

Good mystery

This book was very interesting and captivating. However, I did not enjoy certain aspects of the book and thought that the author could have written some parts of it in a less disturbing way. Difficult for a parent to read/listen to.

Where to start!! Loved the story so much even though it was a sad one. Really kept me guessing.

This was a wonderful book that I couldn’t wait for another day to listen to and the end had me in absolute tears and I was sad that it was over. My next book is from the same author and will be binge reading them all. Please don’t stop writing because this book was truly a lovely read.

Beautiful story I loved it

I read at least 3 books a month and I must say this book was the best I've read in years! I went through a whole range of emotions and being a mother, some made me anxious but it was so worth it. And the narrator was perfect! I highly recommend this read!

I got this book for free as a monthly perk and it was amazing!! I had no expectations that it would be anything special but I highly recommend. The narrator was perfect as well!

Enjoyed this book. Subject matter little disturbing, but I’ve read worse. Kept me intrigued. I liked the ending, though I see some reviewers didn’t.

Charming at times. Chilling at times. The story is nicely told and engaging. Kudos to the author and the narrator.

This book was very entertaining throughout! It feels like the mood and plot shifts dramatically though reality and the supernatural in a very fluid way. Only read this book if you’re fine with VERY unsettling topics though it gets very creepy and unsettling.

Exceptional writing with an unexpected shift in the story. Katie Villa’s narration pulls you in and grabs hold until the very last word.

Absolutely a must read/listen . My favorite in a long time

This was an excellent book, I wasn’t sure this was going to be my sort of book but I was so wrong . It’s unusual but the story was gripping, hard listening to at times because of the subject matter . You’re just willing for the truth to come out, the ending is excellent and to say more would spoil things. I got this book through the VIP perks and I will certainly be looking for more books from this author. Both book and narrator very good .

I loved this book. The narrator wasn't good as well. I thought it would be strange, with the main character being the boy and his dead sister's ghost, but I really enjoyed it. The hours flew by as I listened to the book every free moment and possible occasion.

It was alright. It seemed more like a teen read than an adult read to me. A lot of it is written through the younger brothers eyes or thoughts.

Ugh! Painfully long and drawn out. The talking ghost thing was so ridiculous. Narrator was very good.

A bit different in terms of one of the main characters being a ghost...but definitely kept my interest, twist kept it interesting and overall good book and would recommend.

This was such a great listen! I had a hard time stopping myself from listening to it. It hit me in all the feels. This listen is jarring with everything that happens to the children involved. It actually had me in tears at some points.
