Unabridged Audiobook
Narrator was not the problem I first tried reading this book in paperback and could not get into it. Then switched over to audio and realized it was just a book that I could not get into. The story line was all over the place. It was very hard to follow and to me it seemed like it just didn’t make sense it was a DNF for me
This book should come with a therapist
I cried so much it actually scared me. What a beautiful book. Painful, yes, very, but beautiful.
Although the pacing was a bit slow at the start, it became very interesting once the relationships between the main characters were established. The love they had for the one character as he dealt with all of his demons made this book.
Heartbreaking and unimaginable.
I physically read the novel alongside listening through audio, and overall novel was heart shattering, honest, and deeply beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed The narrator, I felt present while listening to his voice.
This is an absolutely heartbreaking story written beautifully by Yanagihara. The content in this book is incredibly painful in nature, so beware of that before starting. Otherwise, narrator did an excellent job, and the novel accomplished exactly what the author wanted it to.
Absolutely gut wrenching story about a man’s life with his closest friend/ the people closest to him.
Painfully beautiful book, one you need to prepare yourself for. Definitely has a lot of mature/triggering content that requires the reader to be in the right headspace for. I loved the way it was written and the story lines are so devastating.
This book was not for me, I gave up after 7 hours. Narrator could not hold my interest all chaacters were the same
I honestly do not care for the plot of this story and it kind of feels like depression porn
extremely hard to read yet gripping and brutally honest. a book you will never forget.
