Summary
The Lives of the Queens of England is a multi-volumed work attributed to Agnes Strickland, though it was mostly researched and written by her sister Elisabeth. These volumes give biographies of the queens of England from the Norman Conquest in 1066. Although by today's standards, it is not seen as a very scholarly work, the Stricklands used many sources that had not been used before.

Volume 5 includes the biographies of Katharine Parr and Mary I. (Summary by Ann Boulais)

What listeners say
Listener feedback for the audiobook is mixed, with significant criticism directed toward the narration quality. Some listeners found the voice annoying and monotonous, which hindered their ability to continue listening. Positive feedback exists but focuses on personal genealogical connections rather than the audiobook itself. Overall, the audio performance appears to be the primary area of concern. The limited number of detailed assessments prevents a comprehensive evaluation of other elements.

I actually named my fourth born daughter Catherine for queen Catherine Parr having read the story of Henry’s wives and was so impressed with her only to find out 24 years later through genealogical research that queen Catherine Parr is my second cousin 16 generations removed isn’t that fascinating I have long been fascinated by these people in their lives and then to find out that my very blurred lines are so closely associated gives me chills... And being related to queen Catherine Parr also makes me related to Henry the eighth and many of the people in the story which is also equally well very interesting to say the least!! Hey at least I’m not related to rest Beuten or Hitler thank God LOL I am very proud however of my relationship genealogically to Elizabeth the first she really did a good job with England considering all the considerable’s! Fascinating how all these lives intertwine in real life once upon a time..And the fact that they have had interesting to to note that I am very closely related to ANN ASKEW God bless her brave brave heart anyway! Wonderful narration it’s nice to have one narrator who completes the entire story sometimes it makes it difficult to have so many different narrators so that is very much appreciated as well

This is a LibriVox book that means the narration is done by various volunteers. I couldn’t get past the first one.
