Abridged Audiobook
This book was fine if you like the gentle pace of Murder She Wrote type stories. The main characters are older, steadfast, sensible sorts. The chemistry between the lead male and female was as exciting as a comfy pair of old jeans. I prefer a little more suspense, energy, and excitement in my books. The female narrarator's New York accent was annoying.
I enjoyed the book, it caught me by surprise several times and was very entertaining. The main character was just that a character and I grew to like her and experince the book through her eyes. I would recommend the book to anyone that reads Mary Higgins Clark, Sue Grafton and light mysteries like those.
Had some interesting facets but the listener needs to know the background of the first story to follow.
This was a fantastic listen! Great story made even better by the author narration. Susan Isaacs has the perfect Queens accent that makes you forget that long drive to work. I actually looked forward to getting in the car, knowing that this was in the CD player.
Really great book, I had a hard time putting it down. Or should I say turning off the CD player! It was really a great "who done it."
