A mouthpiece for the Military Industrial Complex. Supported EVERY war since Vietnam, never skeptical. Recieved an award from the Army. This guy made me sick.
While I admire Mr.Brokaw and his journalistic talent; and while I respect his character and upbringing....this is pretty hum drum stuff and quickly forgetable.
I'm not a fan of Tom Brokaw by any means but I really enjoyed this book. Of course I've seen him over the years on TV but never knew much about him. The book itself was great, I thought his narration was excellent and I was very intrigued all the way through. My only complaint (and only thing that kept it from 5 stars) was he went on this little tangent about Indians. I don't even really remember what it was about other than it was long and I thought it took away from the story.
If you like autobiographies more than likely you'll like this....and even if you don't you still might like it! I highly recommend it!
