One of the greatest historical romance books and audiobooks of all time. Kate Reading is the perfect narrator for Loretta Chase novels. She is a multi talented artist and a consummate professional. Ms. Reading is ALWAYS prepared, informed and accurate. Her accents, comedic timing and character voice development are superlative. she's absolutely one of the best audiobook performers of all time. This is one of the best books ever written in the genre (and possibly in the world, lol.) LOS is funny, passionate, interesting, compelling, life affirming, exhaustively researched, smart, timeless and romantic. I highly recommend that everyone read this or listen to it. The hours you spend in the presence of the genius of these two power houses of their fields, Chase and Reading, will be time spent smiling. Honestly, my life is richer having listened to this book. Yes, I am probably overly enthusiastic but it's just that awesome! and I absolutely recommend any other book by these women.

Purchased this book upon recommendation by book vloggers, what a mistake! Ithe intro was interesting then it got really boring , repetitive. Can’t finish it at this time…I’ll probably continue later.

Awful narration. She was so dramatic that it was hard to tell if the book was good or bad.
