I love the Black Dagger Brotherhood, but I have to say this is my least favorite book of the series. I can't even finish it. I am so disappointed in Phury. He was the brother who had his crap together. What happened to him? I hate that J.R. Ward has turned him into a drug addict who talks to imaginary people. Every time he talks about the wizard I picture that little green alien Kazoo from the Flinstones. And don't even get me started on the relationship. I feel like anyone Phury ends up with will always be second to Bella. I don't like that at all. Overall, I'm glad this was the sixth book in the series and not the first because I wouldn't have continued with it if this was the first. I will still keep going and hope they are like the first five books and not this one.

I love these books so much, J.R. Ward is my God. My only complaint is the narrator, I feel like the books should be read by a woman. Jim has a lovely voice, but I just feel like a woman's voice would bring more passion to the words.
