Despite his anxieties over his new position, he's found a home in the Otherworld and has everything anyone could ever dream of. So why does he still feel like a puzzle with a missing piece?
When a secret door appears in the palace library, hiding old documents that may belong to his dad, he's suspicious, but he also can't help following the clues. Therefore, the moment the determined little creature finds breadcrumbs leading to the lands outside the Kingdom's borders, he doesn't think twice about indulging him. Except when they're set on by a group of reapers, Cair is reminded of how mortal his human is, and he doubts intention alone will be enough to keep him safe. He would tear the realm apart to protect Luca, but there has to be a more peaceful way. Is being a prince of the Fae really the path fate has laid out for him?
Their trip to the Outerlands isn't as simple as they had hoped. There are dangers lurking in the shadows, and outside forces rooting against them, but together they can overcome it all and figure out a way to keep their happily ever after.
Can't they?
