Made For This: Commissioned for Mission

Made For This!

Every Catholic parent longs to see their child grow in faith, to stand with courage, and to take their place in God’s mission. But what does Confirmation really mean — for our children, for the Church, and for the world?

In Made for This – Commissioned for Mission, Mario Borg takes parents and young people on a journey through the Sacrament of Confirmation. Moving from the Upper Room of Pentecost to the lives of modern saints like Carlo Acutis, this book explores why the Holy Spirit comes with fire, how the apostles were transformed from fear to boldness, and what it means for every baptised Christian to live as priest, prophet, and king.

Drawing on Scripture, Church teaching, and real-life reflection, this book will:

- Inspire parents and children to rediscover the gift of Confirmation
- Connect the ancient story of Pentecost with today’s mission field
- Show how the Holy Spirit equips each of us with gifts for service and holiness
- Invite young people to live with courage, conviction, and joy

Whether read at home, in parish preparation, or as personal reflection, Made for This – Commissioned for Mission is a guide to living the sacrament — not as a one-time ritual, but as a lifelong call to discipleship.

Confirmation is not the end of the faith journey — it’s the beginning of missionary journey.
