the sound effects are really irritating

I really like this book, even though the author wrote in first person and added sound effects. It’s the series that I dislike; there is no chronological order to them. Each book is written in a different era of time with all new characters. So just as you are becoming attached to the story of Larris, the author throws him to the side and creates a new cast and plot. And it’s always the same story, “How will good triumph evil”. I do not recommend this series.

Surprisingly good and very entertaining.

Love this book and the narrator has a very peculiar way to bring its characters to life. I was enthralled by his voice. Might even have had people looking me funny in the street with the horses sounds

The book takes a little bit of getting used to as sounds of the surroundings are written in words. That being said both story it self, and the narrator are great.
