Unabridged Audiobook
Easy to listen to.
Thought this book might be a bit dull, but it held my attention. I am, however, an avid royal watcher and student of royal history so rather enjoy reading about coronations, protocols and all types of royal matters. After the Diana years I wondered how Charles and Camilla would ever repair their public image. This book details how King Charles III has managed to steady the ship, stay the course and carry on. Being a Princess Diana superfan it pains me to say it, but I am even warming to Queen Camilla. Harry and Meghan fans might want to skip this book as it does set the record straight on a few of the “recollections” that varied.
Although I did end up liking Charles quite a bit after listening to this book, it’s for the most part pretty boring, with over half of the book about the royal coronation. The author mostly gushes about anything Charles and Camilla and seems to name drop every person in the “peerage”.
This is by far the most tedious, pointless book I’ve ever listened to. It’s an audio version of watching paint dry.
