Unabridged Audiobook
Wonderfully read and written. As a fan of Lewis for his theology as well as Sci-Fi and Fantasy writing, I enjoy knowing more about his life. Often in other biographies, the Inklings are closer to a footnote or the author focuses heavily on the friendship between Lewis and Tolkien to the detriment of the relationships of men like Arthur Greeves, Charles Williams, Hugo Dyson, etc. This biography balances those friendships while also telling us about Lewis' early career before and during the Second World War. I found the tale captivating, and I absolutely will be adding this to my bookshelf.
