Couldn’t stop listening
very good could relate to today world Tom Wolfe is a great story writer
A great Atlanta fiction that really hits the key parts of Atlanta. A good story that keeps you interested. Great narration as well that puts on the right accents for the characters.
I read this book years ago when it first came out. This is a fantastic book from one of the most talented writers of our time. By all means rent this; you will not be disappointed.
Thought provoking. Reader made it come alive because he was good with various accents.
Though the early part of the story originating in California seems gratuitous; the story gets plenty colorful when the action shifts to that unlikely cultural melting-pot Atlanta. Color plays center stage in Atlanta: The white old-money of the Piedmont Driving Club, the black downtown power-brokers, the brown folk of the northeast side's "Chambodia," black celebrity athletes, and of course the great green breasts of Habersham Road's exquisitely manicured lawns. All are brought together by an orange pajama-clad fugitive from Contra Costa County Prison in California. An exciting read, meticulously assembled by Wolfe.
Pretty interesting read. Good character development. A little far fetched as to how things were falling into place for some of the characters.
