In this dual narration audiobook, Newbery Honor-winning author Jasmine Warga returns to Mars in this companion to the #1 New York Times bestseller, A Rover’s Story. A Martian’s Story takes place 100 years after Rover, and follows beloved drone Fly and 12-year-old Ezzy on a quest to find Ezzy’s scientist mom who is lost in a violent Martian dust storm. Perfect for readers of The Wild Robot and The One and Only Ivan.

Ezzy is a Martian. As the first kid to grow up on Mars, she might just be the first true Martian. But as the only kid living in a Martian colony far from Earth, Ezzy longs to understand both her home and her ancestral planet, and how she fits in (or doesn’t) on both. Despite this conflict, her close relationship with her mom is what grounds her, no matter what planet she’s living on.

So, when a meteor suddenly strikes causing a massive dust storm and separating her from her mom, Ezzy bravely sets out to find her. While embarking on the perilous journey, she discovers that though the storm has buried some things, it’s uncovered others, and those things might just prove be the key to her survival.
