Eli has been a huge positive influence on my life so far in the what feels like short year that I have been following his journey. I decided to purchase a copy of his book and yesterday I decided to listen to the full audiobook to hear more of his story. You should never judge a book by its cover and Eli showed first hand why while he explained some of his journey and life experiences. People get put in tough positions they never asked themselves to be in all the time, myself included, but it is not the situation we are in that defines us but how we rise up and deal with the problems we are dealt that does. You always have a choice on how to react, how to play this game of chess we call life and for Eli, he explained how it was possible to turn a 180 degrees from the trajectory he was on. From being entrenched in the party life where people would take advantage of you for a $ to being painted black in an incredibly unfortunate situation explained in the book, he set an example on how to cancel out the noise and focus on what matters; Exemplifying what it means to be fortunate enough to wake up everyday able to take a fresh breath of air and chase your dreams no matter how big. If you put your mind to something, surround yourself with like-minded people, and show up everyday to chase your future self nothing can stop you. Eli is living proof. Thank you for writing your story down big dog, I will be taking lessons from this for years to come as a reminder on how I should approach so called 'problems' in my life and my future goals I have set for myself
