Fun twist on a family mystery, Richard Armitage as narrator is chefs kiss
I'm sure there might be an interesting story in here somewhere, but it didn't grab or hold my attention.
Great story. I really enjoyed the narrator.
Thoroughly enjoyable. Good plot, great characters, extremely well written. Superbly narrated. Highly recommended.
The story is interesting with clever twists but the timeline is not always clear. For some reason the narration is pieced at times, with another narrator featuring out of context.
Exceptional narration brought the characters to life and a twist at the end was very clever.
Never got to the end....too many names and too many Italian names and references over whelming the story, which I'm afraid bored me to the point of sleep and repeat, until, I finally gave up.
Just couldn’t get into this book - mainly concerned with Italian cultural and political history and the murder of a present day professional historian / the narrator ‘was fine
Good narrator. The story was at times confusing, one has to keep in mind that the story is told by using flash backs. I loved the history and the description of my favorite city in the world: Venice. But listening to this book does take full concentration.
