Unabridged Audiobook
I like this super tense thriller, and the characters, distinct and real. Dating humor makes it fun and entertaining while the serial killer adds fear and doubts. The audio quality is excellent.
I love a mystery where I can't guess the killer, and this one definitely got me. The online dating element made it feel very modern and relatable. Melissa was such a funny group leader, always pushing everyone back into the dating pool despite the obvious danger! The narrator’s tone matched the humor and suspense really well. It kept me sitting in my car extra minutes just to hear what happened next. Super fun audio experience!
The group of women made the story much more interesting than a straightforward thriller. Their personalities, rivalries, insecurities, and growing friendships gave me reasons to care about what happened to them beyond simply figuring out who the killer was. The combination of humor, friendship, romance, and suspense made this a very entertaining listen.
The story came through much clearer for me, especially the humor, tension, and little personality details. With the audio, some lines were emphasized differently than how I would have read them in my head, and I think that made me miss some of the charm. Fun mystery, likable characters, and entertaining.
I really liked the idea of five divorced women getting together to share their online dating experiences, only to find themselves caught up in something much more dangerous. The combination of awkward dates, complicated friendships, romantic jealousy, and a serial killer makes for such an interesting mystery. What caught my attention most was how the characters have their own personal struggles while trying to figure out who they can trust. I also enjoyed the concept of mixing humor about modern dating with the suspense of a murder investigation. A fun pick for anyone who enjoys mysteries with relationship drama, unexpected suspects, and twists that keep you guessing about who the real killer might be.
This audiobook really took me on a total roller coaster! Honestly, I started listening expecting a light story about middle-aged dating, funny bad dates, and awkward dinners, then it turned into this super tense, creepy thriller. The way it tells the story is wild, mixing laughs about unruly facial hair with genuine, terrifying fear of an online serial killer. The performance is just fantastic, too. The narrator’s voice control, tone, and overall audio quality are completely top-tier. Every character felt so real and distinct! You could literally hear Kimberly’s anxiety in her shaky voice, and Holly’s free spirit just shone through. Um, I actually felt so heartbroken and worried for these women as the danger got closer. It’s a scary, emotional ride that completely hooked me from start to finish. I’m still thinking about it!
