Summary
Mr. Neilson was determined to name his first child after his boyhood chum, William Henshaw. When the baby disappointed him by being a girl, he was consoled by naming her Billy. Miss Billy, now 18, orphaned and all alone in the world, takes her lawyer's suggestion to ask her namesake to take her in. Only one little problem - Mr. Henshaw did not know of her existence, and then mistakenly thinks that Billy is a boy!

Eleanor H. Porter was an early 20th century author of children's literature and novels. Her most well known book was "Pollyanna" and it's sequel, "Pollyanna Grows Up". (Summary by Maria Therese)

Amazing book! Love miss Billy

The story is entertaining, but I would enjoy it more if the narrator stayed the same; namely the narrator Phil. He has a good voice compared to most of the other narrators. Some of the others aren’t TERRIBLE, but their recordings aren’t as good of quality.

This book was ok but some of the narrators were pretty awful and spoilt the story. Narrator Phil was very good and should have been given the whole book to read.

I am a retired early childhood educator. I love to hear good stories especially those dealing with reality which is one of my favorites as well as the classics as long as the narrator is good.

A slightly ponderous tale, but entertaining. Very fine male reader; difficult to understand female reader.

Loved the book!! Would have preferred to listen to narrator Phil throughout the story though. I felt he had a knack for adding the right nuances and animation in his voice.

I really loved the story from start to finish. Although with so many narrators it made things difficult, as each interpreted the characters differently, there were a couple that didn't give much emotion at all or pronounce names the same.. Narrator Phil should have done the whole book

Some of the narrators were hard to understand; i prefer having the same narrator all the way through. I did enjoy the story however! The last several chapters kept me listening continuously.
