Fredrick Phalen is stunned by the stranger’s greeting. While teasing his younger sister Fredrick fell into the land of Waitington, where magic is real. Those he meets believe he is magic as well—in fact, a long-awaited magician.

Baffled by why he is there, and how to get home, Fredrick quickly finds out it is a crime to be a magician in Waitington. A crime punishable by death.

On the run, Fredrick meets many magical friends while trying to stay alive long enough to somehow make it home.
