Fang Xue has come a long way from the temple.

The Queen of Bats has been building toward something for centuries, consuming everything in her path, including the Hell Monks who came before Fang and the flame they carried. Now Fang is building too, ally by ally, faction by faction, assembling the kind of force that no single noble house could ignore and no previous inheritor of the flame ever had behind them.

Now, as a Gold rank monk with no noble name and no standing finds himself at the center of something Serath's oldest houses never planned for.

The debt owed to his predecessors is long overdue.
