The overall message of this book is this: Victory is realistic and within our grasp no matter the violation. As a sexual abuse survivor, I know that true and lasting healing from sexual trauma involves a recognition of the importance of both the physical and spiritual dimensions of wholeness. What's unique about this book, and what I haven't personally encountered in any other book or through any other counseling in the 35 years I've been on this journey, is that the physical is tethered to the spiritual. Corajean Blalack is a happily married stay-at-home mama of one son. From childhood, she has always known that she wanted to be an author like Elisabeth Elliot and Corrie ten Boom.
