Mr. Music Man: The Journey: With George Bentum Essiaw

From the breath-taking mountains and rolling ranges of Obo and Kwahu, through Suhum and Darkuman, across the hidden corners of Ghana and into the heart of West Africa, Mr. Music Man: The Journey traces a life shaped by sound, movement, and destiny. The story travels onward to Europe, where Kojo Antwi carved out a living through music, performing across Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, and Norway, long before global recognition followed.

This compelling memoir reveals, for the first time, how one of Africa’s most decorated and enduring music icons was, in many ways, chosen by music itself. Kojo Antwi recounts his early years singing in bands in the mid-1970s, the struggles and turning points of the late 1980s, and the defining leap that transformed him into the solo artist beloved across generations.

Mr. Music Man: The Journey is an intimate, eye-opening portrait of the man behind the legend—bold, reflective, and deeply human. It is a celebration of resilience, creativity, and nearly five decades of music that has shaped lives, memories, and a cultural legacy.
