Unabridged Audiobook
Absolutely disliked Rose, the use of the f—- when it didn’t make sense was nauseating! Story was predictable and sad. Too many parts were left hanging.
Enjoyable book, wonder narration. I appreciated, and related, to Mrs. Narwhal's thoughts while working through emotional "life stuff" and found her far more forgiving than myself. Many funny parts that will bring a smile to your face.
An enjoyable book, funny and well written. The narrator was very good.
An utterly glorious book. Such quiet wit contrasting with pathos and best of all, an impressive array of original metaphor. So delightful. I immediately wanted to read more, but alas the author has yet to write a second. Please do….you’re quite wonderful. The narrator did the book great justice also. Perfection in every respect
I really liked this book. The author is so funny. I hope she writes more books. It's very introspective, since it's written like a diary. It's mostly about Mrs. Narwhal's thoughts about the events that take place in her life. I really like books like that, but I think some people may find it boring if they're not into that
I can't remember why I picked this book other than I wanted something different from my usual read. The characters do develop over time, but my final impression of the book was, "What was the point?" Nothing much happens, I wasn't eager to "keep reading" to find out what happens next. It was a good, mindless listen to keep me company while cleaning. The narrator did a fine job except for when an uncle from the 'States arrives. Her American accent needs work. I wish something more would have happened with the Uncle. He does instigate a change, but I was expecting more out of him than a 30 minute visit. I wanted something more to happen...
