Unabridged Audiobook
Very detail oriented, but I have a feeling it’s laying groundwork for the next books in the series.
Murder at Holly House was an enjoyable mystery that began well but took an unexpected turn that I found a bit disappointing. I enjoyed the mystery aspect of the book, as well as the strong tension and writing. Although, the old time language did slow me down throughout. Around halfway in, the mystery took a drastic turn from cozy murder to war crimes, which was unexpected and threw me off. Overall, it’s a good story, I just wish it hadn’t taken the random plot twist. I did love the narrator though and I thought he did a wonderful job, great voice and matched the character wonderfully!
