Murder at the Villa Amalfi: A twisty and utterly addictive 1920s mystery

A surprise wedding invitation. A cliffside villa on the glittering Amalfi Coast. And a murdered guest before the celebrations even begin! Posie Parker has just landed in her most glamorous case yet!

Amalfi Coast, Italy, Spring 1926.

Posie Parker—London’s premier female sleuth—is abroad and moments from boarding her train home when an urgent telegram stops her in her tracks. An old friend is getting married in Italy, and Posie heads to the sun‑soaked, secretive Villa Amalfi, a clifftop paradise with a dark past and a dazzling roster of American guests.

With her husband, Inspector Richard Lovelace, delayed, Posie arrives alone—though not without allies. Rufus and Dolly Cardigeon are here, as is editor Sam Stubbs and Posie’s new friend, Mary Jones. But before Posie can slip into her wedding finery, disaster strikes: a guest is found murdered in the villa’s tiny chapel.

The villa’s enigmatic owner, English spiritualist Countess Annie d’Olvia, insists the villa is cursed and her next séance predicts more deaths. And Posie quickly realises every single guest is hiding something. Why is the villa hosting weddings at all? Is their Host, the charming Doctor Roberto Drino, truly trustworthy? And what exactly is the famously persistent American journalist Beattie Brookes hunting for here?

When priceless treasures vanish from the local Cathedral and the villa is sealed off by police, a second murder rocks the household. Now the danger is personal—and closing in fast.

To survive, Posie must expose a ruthless killer before she becomes the next victim.

A glamorous, twist‑packed 1920s mystery perfect for fans of Agatha Christie and T.E. Kinsey.
