Have read this book twice and now have listened to it. I LOVE this series. This is a great step into the story and the drama of this family. There are a few different story lines going on, but they all work together or make this story a little more real. Nothing is how it seems. Book two is also amazing and I am dying to get my hands on book three! Well this book is the 1st in a series and I dying to complete. What a lead into an interesting story. a business trip, a one night stand, a secret, and lust.... what was just supposed to be one night, no strings turns into a potential conflict of interest as the story unfolds. Ethan, who holds a position of power in Sofia's quest for chasing her dreams into fashion holds as many secrets and Sofia does. When what was to be a one time thing, turns into an interesting proposal where feelings are involved, and so much baggage you are unsure where this story will go. Will Sofia accept the life changing offer, is a trip to Paris in her cards? What will happen when Ethan finds out she has left his hotel without work for a second time?

This is the first book in The Dalton Family Trilogy and the first book I’ve read by this author. The book follows Sofia and Ethan whose story begins with an instant attraction surrounded by lies and secrets causing distrust right from the start. Though the book seems to have a good plot, the insta attraction was a bit much for me. There were a few areas within the storyline that unfortunately had me questioning the FMC and MMC actions after they had already set the scene making it more unrealistic, and of course this is a fictional story and scenes can be altered to make the reader more intrigued. Sadly I was not. The pace of the book was decent, the twist did add an additional star and the cliffhanger did build some momentum for the reader to continue on with the next book.
