This book is one of the most inspiring reads I know of, especially for girls and women who fantasize about adventure. Gloria Steinem has such a warm, uplifting writing style, and Winger's recording is excellent. I learned things about history, both distant and recent, that I never would have found out in school or remembered from a textbook.

Believe it or not, at 52 this is the first time I have read (Or listened to) Gloria Steinem. I found her journey eye opening and encouraging. Did I agree with everything she believes? No, but I thoroughly enjoyed her thought provoking stories. Debra Winger was the perfect voice for Steinem's story. I highly recommend this audiobook.
