Supergirl Shaya returns in Shem Diana Moses' My Skin Is Lovely. Shaya reminds the black-skinned girls of their superpower. Shaya begins by telling us about her superpower as a black girl. What additional superpowers does Supergirl Shaya possess? Her skin! In this book, Shaya has collected a list of positive affirmations, which she refers to as "superpowers" that may help us win any war. To discover more, read My Skin Is Lovely by Shem Diana Moses. This is the first book in Super Girl Shaya's 'Capture a Heart' Collection. After reading the second book in the collection, 'My Hair Is Lovely,' I was eager to read the first book in the collection since I knew it would include some fantastic qualities, much like the second. One of the finest aspects of this book is the graphical portrayal, which lets readers see what Supergirl Shaya looks like. Each chapter is an alphabet letter, with each letter further defined by a positive assertion or a quality. The first chapter, "A Is for My Attitude," is an example. Simply said, each chapter offers advice on how to make young children feel happier, have a good outlook, and defeat any monsters in their path. Each word in this novel by author Shem Diana Moses is excellent. It is apparent that the words were carefully considered before being put into this book. Her writing style deserves praise. It is simple to read and easy to picture. Young readers who choose this book can learn up to 26 positive behaviors that can change their lives and that they may practice in their daily lives. This conduct is influenced by the numerous ideas that are explored in this book. In this novel, "determination" is one of the themes. Shaya explains the power of the mind to her readers in this book. We can do anything whenever we put our minds to it. Be neither "frustrated nor disheartened," for we all possess abilities that are just waiting to be used. Readers are urged to cherish their heritage. Our culture, which has been passed down from generation to generation, distinguishes us from other people. Shaya advises us not to take it personally when others make fun of the cultures we follow. We are not alone since everyone has a culture they follow someplace. There was nothing I could find objectionable in this book. Shaya and Author Shem Diana Moses taught me a lot from this book, and I'm glad to have come across it. Additionally, I found no form of errors in this book; it was exceptionally edited. Therefore, I rate My Skin Is Lovely 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to black girls of all generations because there is a lot of information in this book that will make you love yourself even more and stand tall with your head high in the clouds.
The book, My Skin is Lovely, is a well-written book for children. It is written specially to help young black girls understand how unique and dynamic they are even as kids. \r\n\r\nIt teaches confidence, self-acceptance, and self-awareness, as each chapter is carefully crafted in a way that inspires, uplifts, and empowers young black girls to be the best version of themselves. The author encourages young girls to have a good attitude, an optimistic view of life, and value their culture. She helps young black girls see the beauty in their diversity, and recognize how beautiful each girl is inside and out regardless of how dark the color of their skin is.\r\n\r\nThe book explains in simple ways how a young girl can deal with several areas of her life. Each chapter is filled with realistic examples of situations that can occur, the wrong way to deal with the situations, and the right way to respond to these situations in a way that keeps children entertained. It explains to young black girls in an easy-to-read manner how to overcome obstacles in their paths and have confidence in a diverse world.\r\n\r\nI particularly love how the book is written from the first-person point of view. Apart from the fact that it helps create an easy way to connect with the book, it also makes it easy to personalize the strong affirmative words and draw strength from them. It is also lively and vibrant, and lights up your imagination. Shem’s use of the alphabetical order in a poetic way for each of the chapters also further cements the connection and understanding of her book for children as that is something they are familiar with. Every chapter gives a black girl hope and helps her celebrate her family, culture, and her own self. Every page gives a black girl something to look forward to, opens her eyes to see, shows them how special and unique they are regardless of whatever tough situations she might be in or people who try to discourage her.\r\n\r\nI strongly recommend this book for young girls all over the world, as the book encourages all children to accept and love who they are but especially for young black girls as it tackles issues young black girls are most likely to have. The words are beautifully crafted in a way that brings clarity and encouragement to the readers. I give this book a 5 over 5- star rating for its simplicity, uniqueness, and awesome delivery of complex topics in a way children can understand. Also, for teaching children how to be filled with love and be a light to everyone around them and the world at large.
