My Trip with Elvis: and other stories, with ten poems

Being laid off from his job, a grief-stricken Thomas Charles Baker, or simply TC Baker, finds an escape in smoking a joint with his friend, Richard. But the situation takes an unexpected turn when, during his trip, he meets the great Elvis Presley. Although TC swishes away the trip he took with the star as a mere hallucination, things are not the same for the singer.


Sam and Judy have been happily married for 30 years. After becoming empty nesters when their children left to raise their own families, the couple decides to go on a casino spree. Johnny is an avid hunter and fisherman. Inspired by the Indian tribal hunters, he seeks to become one just like them, and even hunt with their preferred weapons – like a bow and an arrow. After several failed attempts at successfully hunting a prey, he loses his confidence in the sport. But Johnny isn’t the one to quit – and he is determined to get what he wants.
