If you want to listen to this book select one in which Hugh Fraser is the narrator. The narrator of this version is vastly inferior.

Agatha Christie is reliably consistent with excellent mysteries. This book keeps you guessing. Just when you think you've solved everything, you get to add new possibilities to the mix. The narrator did a great job by remaining unnoticed as a storyteller.

Agatha Christy is always entertaining!

After reading two Christie books that were REALLY not good, I was happy to get to one that met my expectations. And except for the constant mispronunciation of gare (like car) de Lyon, the narration was good.

this was a wonderful book

As intriguing as the story was the outcome was a disappointment. The culprits were characters, which were so obscure that it was difficult to even follow the explanation as to how and why they did what they did. It had the traditional one or two characters whom were too obvious to be the actual culprits, and I am familiar with that. There were several other main characters who I kept my eyes on just in case. But the characters who ended up being the killers, I barely had a frame of reference to who they were. Or at least, there were no meaningful clues to suggest their guilt. And if I were to go back and read it again, to find some small bread crumbs, I would still say that they were not significant enough to build a case upon. I love a good “Who Done It’ although this is my first Agatha Christie book. I was prepared to be amazed. I am underwhelmed.

Overall very engaging and surprising plot twist at the end. Helped pass the time on a 2 day road trip. Got lost sometimes with some of the extraneous details and characters. Narrator did an excellent job with British and French accents!
