Unabridged Audiobook
This story of verbal and mental abuse by a husband to his wife starts on page one and finishes on the last page. It is a well written book, held my attention, and I enjoyed the characters, however, if you're looking for a happy story, this is not it. I had a lot of empathy for Ciara and her situation. I often wondered if I could have done what she did, but mostly I focused on how grateful I am not to be in a marriage like hers. A solid read, but maybe save it for those days you're cuddling on the couch in the fall/winter. On a sidenote, I enjoyed the narrators voice, except for when she was doing the children. I grew accustomed to it, but it was rough. All her other voices were fine.
It's a beautiful story. And the narrator did a great job
