Summary
New York is going to the dogs-and it's a good thing, too, since dogs are what bring together and keep together the mix of quiet, eccentric, struggling, and sometimes lonely humans that populate Schine's story.

Being a dog lover, I really enjoyed this book. Although, I don't think this has to be a requirement to think it was good. I liked the different characters and the way the narrator matched her voice with the different people. Very good book!!

This is a great audiobook for all those who love New York and its people and dogs. There is not much going on as far as action, so all action lovers will be disappointed. It is more about what is going on inside the different people living in a certain New York community.. I love to read about New York, my dream city to live in, and I love dogs and tales about dogs. This book does both. The reason I gave only three stars, because it is a bit fairy tale like and because the reader was not good with voices. But other than that I am all for New York and its citizens (both two- and fourlegged)
