Having read all of Erin’s Roumaterra Series to date. I jumped at the chance to have the opportunity to listen and review this book. It literally took me half of listening this to it to realize where in the series this takes place and it literally is book 0. I had read book one and it hints at this ball as how he found his wife Ella…. But I had no idea what they meant. I absolutely loved this book. It was wonderful to read how Michael and Ella met. And Thomas as perfect. The right amount of fatherly caring and love even if he is just Ella’s neighbor. This book is just as enchanting as the other Cinderella retellings out there but I loved being able to connect it to a series where we get to see more of them. In my personal opinion if you are going to read Erin’s Roumaterra series. Start here then read book 4 Arrows and Gems then read book 1. I promise you will like it better in that order.
