Summary:

After a failed courtship in an ally kingdom, twenty-one-year-old Princess Alessandra returns home to a land torn apart by mutual hatred between the humans and the dark-elves. The 'Beast Princess,' as Aless is known by courtiers, confidently sets her mind to ways of making peace, but her father has already decided for her: she is to marry one of the mysterious and monstrous dark-elves to forge a treaty. While she intends to preserve the peace, the Beast Princess has plans of her own.

Prince Veron has been raised knowing his life is not his own, but to be bargained away by his mother, the queen of Nozva Rozkveta, to strengthen the dark-elf queendom. When his mother tells him he is to marry a self-absorbed, vile human, he is determined to do his duty regardless of his personal feelings. After arriving at the human capital, he finds the 'Beast Princess' rebellious and untamed-and not to be trusted.

Aless and Veron face opposition at every turn, with humans and dark-elves alike opposing the union violently. Can two people from cultures that despise one another fall in love? Can a marriage between them bond two opposing worlds together, or will it tear them apart for good?

Contains mature themes.

In this Beauty and the Beast retelling, we see our MC, Aless, a human princess, enter into an arranged marriage with an immortal creature, a dark elf prince, Veron. As they travel, they encounter danger and prejudice and learn about each other as they begin to fall in love. Having previously read Miranda Honfleur’s Blade and Rose series, I had a little more insight into the world building that this story is based on as well as characters that appeared in this book, so I would suggest doing the same, but it is not necessary. The book flows just fine without the previous knowledge but it does enhance it. If you like fantasy romance with action and a HEA, this is the series to pick up. I received an ARC in exchange for my unbiased review.

I was gifted a copy of this in audio from the author and I have to say I loved it! The storyline flows well and naturally while the characters are not perfect! Aless and Veron are opposites, but that does not stop them! Aless, is wild and free and to some degree uncaring but Veron, a Dark Elf prince manages to tame her and at the same time she changes him! The juxtaposition of 2 seemingly diverse worlds is married well here with dangers surrounding both Aless and Veron! This is a side series from Blade and Rose as Aless was a suitor to Jon in that series! I look forward to more in this series and others from Miranda Honfluer, who is very quickly becoming an absolute favourite author!!! The only downside to the audio version was the narrator - I found her pronunciations irritating and her accent failed! However, once I got by that, the story made me forget all about the irritations! I would recommend the narrator from the Blade series for future books!!

This review is based on an audio-book that I received. It is an honest review and the complimentary receipt of it in no way affected my review or rating. 'No man can tame' by Miranda Honfleur is the story of Aless en Veron. 'No man can tame' is officially the start of the series 'The Dark- Elves of Nightbloom'. This audiobook is about 21 hours and 23 minutes long. This book has a semi closed end. But there is a lot of room for more to come. The name of the second book is 'Bright of the Moon'. I am curious when I can listen to that one. The narrator, Dara Rosenberg has a nice and clear spoken voice and with pacing that makes the story easy understand and follow. She is easy to listen to. I always need to get used to someone voice, but in her case it didn't take long. I liked Dara Rosenberg's voice straigh away. Her pronunciation is very good and she added the perfect amount of emotion when needed. The sound quality is also good. She is awesome and she totally uplifts the story with her talent as narrator. This book is super, and absolutely worth the read, just make sure that you have the next book available to read immediately because you will want it. But I am afraid you have to wait a little bit for that one. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was definitely surprised and ecstatic how the storyline flowed. It was a nice blend of politics and romance. I totally love this cover. I find it very gorgeous. I activated my phone screen often only to see that cover. I really like it that it is taking place in the world as Rose and Blade. it is an extra bonus for me. The author does a great job at drawing you into this magical world and teasing you with little bits of information along the way that creates mystery among their journey. I really like the story, it is one of the best read I've had all year. There wasn't any instant love, or perfection. I really liked how there was a wedding at the beginning of the book, and an other wedding at the end. It was so different. Aless and Veron are fantastic and it was fun to read to read how the their relationship evolved through the book. The romance between Aless and Veron was wonderful, soul deep and incredibly beautiful in the end. Aless and Veron made actual mistakes, and I got angry and frustrated with them. But they both grew and redeemed themselves and to each other. It was definitely a rollercoaster ride, not in the least helped by the tensions between their peoples, people in their lives, and the stirrings of war around them. This fantasy romance was just what I needed! I would definitely recommend this book if you like romance, magic and an action packed adventure across the kingdom you will enjoy this book. It's a good, solid listen and a promising start to the series. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.

This book is intense and adventurous. The forced marriage is just the beginning for these two. They both learn so much, but her starting to actually get to know more about the people she’s around instead of ignoring them as people has to be the best thing out of the lessons learned...well...other than what’s behind the unicorns mask anyway. That was a surprise. These two slowly fall in love and the sacrifices they’re determined to make shows that. I loved this book and can’t wait for more from the series.

A forced marriage that turns two characters who had no other reason to interact turns into a deeply passionate love. From that love both change and grow into better people one by looking past the out side differences to see how the dark elves are suffering and the other that society standards aren't worth maintaining at the cost of harm to his human wife.

A Beauty and the Beast Retelling Like many of the reviews I’ve read, this story does have some similarities to Grace Draven’s Radiance, but there is so much more. I really enjoyed Veron and Aless and though they were different, one being an Elven Prince and another a Human Princess, the two learned to work together and help one another heal. This wasn’t an insta-love romance and neither character was perfect, they definitely had their flaws and I liked that they seemed real because of them. I thought the writing style, pace, character developed, and world building was done well and I was entertained the entire time. Dara Rosenberg did a great job in helping to bring the characters to life.

Great story that takes beauty and the beast as it's inspiration and adds a special twist to make a unique story. It is well written and the characters are great.

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect out of No Man Can Tame when I started it. Aless and Veron are forced into a political marriage in order to unite the humans with the Dark Elves. Their union comes at a time when tensions are on the rise and attacks on Immortals by a group known as The Brotherhood - who would sooner see all the Immortals obliterated rather than make peace - have increased. There is much riding on their shoulders, and while neither one of them would have asked for the marriage they soon are able to look past the lies and misconceptions that have been floating around between the humans and immortals and begin to care about one another. I really enjoyed the message that not all wars are fought, or won, with battles. Sometimes you can work out a situation with words and intellect. I loved seeing the two opposing sides of this with Veron a warrior and Aless, for lack of a better word, a scholar. When conflicts arise I love seeing Aless give her input and Veron actually listen and take into account her suggestions which always prove to be the right path to take. Aless proves that strength doesn't necessarily always mean strength of body, but can just as often mean strength of mind. In the end I really enjoyed No Man Can Tame. The narration was good although I found a couple of instances where discerning which character was speaking was difficult, but it was nothing that negatively impacted my listen. Overall, I'm excited to see what happens next in the series. We're left with quite the revelation, and I'm interested to see the impact it has on the story.

This was fun! Miranda’s unique charm and writing style was definitely present. I liked getting to know Aless more even though I hated her for sleeping with Jon in the main series
