5 Emotional Stars!! I’ve read all of Ms. Blake’s books and the McKay-Taggert family has always been one of my favorites in all the books I’ve read. This second generation though is one that I’ve grown to love more than their parents. Kala in particular has always been a mystery to me as I always felt there was something bubbling under her surface, but I could never put my finger on exactly what it is. With this book, we get not just a romantic suspense, but a healing that is fought with emotions that are so big that I had to take a moment several times while reading to gather myself. Kala and Cooper have known each other their entire lives. She’s loved him for as long as she can remember but one night changes so much and Kala’s life changes and it doesn’t include Cooper because as sometimes happens he lets her down in a big way. Fast forward several years and Kala is at The Club and all her desires or so he thinks are being fulfilled by Cooper! When he joins her Team to be as close to her as possible neither of them expected that working their next mission would not only put them in extreme danger but it would also allow them to reveal secrets long held and start a healing that could potentially lead to the love they’ve both wanted that’s just like their parents. I can't even explain how much the intensity of this book was brought to miraculous life by the amazing narration by Ryan West. He was able to embody each character and their distinctive personalities not only in the suspense filled action scenes but the emotional moments as well allowing the characters to be more vulnerable. Listening to this book held me captive from beginning to end. I found nuances I'd missed when I read the book earlier this year. This book has it all; heart-stopping action and suspense, sizzling scenes that had me squirming, some of the most emotional moments that had me crying and two people that deserve everything they’ve always desired. This book and series is one that will stay with me for many years to come!

So so so good. It’s romantic suspense that is absolutely addicting. Kala and Cooper are best friends to eventual lovers with a beautiful journey to get there. This is emotional so be sure to be in a happy place before starting. Our characters have some stuff to work through and you may want to loose it on them more than once but I promise the journey is worth not loosing it on them. Love and highly recommend.

Another Thrilling book from Lexi Blake. Unfortunately for me I haven't read the other stories before this series of books, so I was unaware of the history between Kala and Cooper. Although it didn't really matter because the story was written in a way I could follow, although I do wish I had listened to the previous series. I did enjoy the story, and there is ALOT going on so I had to pay attention with all the characters. [potential spoilers removed] Ryan West does an excellent job at narrating this book I really like listening to him telling the story. He was so easy on the ears and I commend him for acting out both male and female voices. I loved the narration. No More Spies is surprisingly emotional at times there is some spice and lots of groveling. I enjoyed listening to this book. Wonderful. 5 Stars.
