This book and the 4-book Saga as a whole, are in my personal top 5 books/series of all time. I've read and listened to them multiple times. The 4-book journey is a beautiful, amazing, captivating, and heart-rending story of love, courage, redemption, family, and hope. The Wingfeather Saga is a series. I recommend reading all four books in order. I follow the GoodReads rating system (3=good, 5=phenomenal life-changing) not the Amazon one (only 5 is acceptable.)
